DEREK RAMSEY

   Derek Ramsey, born in England, is a Filipino-English actor best known for his role as Mito Valenzuela in the Philippine TV series, "Ysabella."

   Ramsey was born in England, however, his family moved to the Philippines when he was still in elementary school. He didn't go back to England until he was 18 where he studied Electrical Engineering and Marketing in college in both England and Boston.

   In 2005, while vacationing with his family in the Philippines, Ramsey was spotted by an agent, who signed him on the spot. He started as a model in commercials, runways and print ads in various magazines and later signed by ABS-CBN as an actor.

   Ramsey made his acting debut in a small part in the TV fantasy series, "Super Inggo." In the following years, he starred in several minor roles in movies such as "Matakot ka sa karma," "Kasal, kasali, kasalo" and "One More Chance."

   Finally in 2007, Ramsey landed his breakthrough role when he secured the lead role in the Filipino Television romantic comedy series, "Ysabella," opposite award-winning Filipina actress, Judy Ann Santos.

   Derek is now one of the most sought-after leading men in Philippine showbiz. He has starred in several recent movie hits such as  I Love You Goodbye & And I Love You So. He has also appeared in various soap operas of ABS-CBN such as Habang May Buhay and the widely-acclaimed Magkaribal opposite Gretchen Barretto. Derek is now popularly known as the Universal Leading Man and is romantically linked to sexy and talented actress Angelica Panganiban.
